Watch the same YouTube scene together — and chat
A free way to watch YouTube videos in sync with friends, partners, family — or people you just met — while chatting. No sign-up, no install. Just a link.
Open a roomHow it works
- Paste a YouTube link. Drop a video link in the box at the top of the home page and your room opens.
- Choose who can join. Public room, link only, or password. To watch with friends, hit "🔗 Copy link" and send it.
- Watch the same scene. When the host plays, pauses or skips, everyone's player follows automatically — like a movie theater.
- Chat while you watch. Type, or tap reactions (👍 ❤️ 😂 🥹). Passers-by can drop into public rooms, too.
Features
Everyone stays within a second or two of the host. Join late and you start at the current scene.
Every chat line shows the video time, so "that scene just now" makes sense.
Hosts mark scenes worth rewatching; guests keep private bookmarks and copy them to share.
Guests suggest YouTube videos as cards; the host decides what plays.
Chat with strangers, or keep it just between friends.
Runs in the browser. All you need is a nickname.
Safety
- Newcomers can't post links or suggest videos for a short while (anti-spam). The host can trust someone instantly.
- Profanity is masked automatically and installer links are blocked. BoraBot reminds everyone about scams.
- Report problem messages or videos. Only reported messages and the conversation around them are kept for moderation.
- Videos play in the official YouTube player. Videos with embedding disabled, age-restricted videos and Shorts can't be opened.
FAQ
How do I watch YouTube together with a friend?
Paste a YouTube link on the home page, open a "Link only" room, then send the room link with "🔗 Copy link". Your friend opens it, taps "▶ Watch together", and you're in sync.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Just a nickname — no email or phone number — right in your browser.
Is it free?
Yes. Videos play in the official YouTube player, so YouTube ads may appear.
Is the chat saved?
Regular chat isn't saved and disappears when the room ends. Only reported messages and the surrounding conversation are kept for moderation.
Can guests pause or skip?
No — like a theater, only the host controls playback. Guests adjust volume and full screen, and can suggest videos.
Can we watch Shorts?
Shorts aren't supported. Rooms are for videos longer than 3 minutes.
